:Supersonic Jet Will Replace Windows With Embedded Displays:

Supersonic Jet Will Replace Windows With Embedded Displays

The supersonic S-512 jet by Spike Aerospace is still in the concept stage but it has been revealed that when the plane does take to the skies, buyers should expect to have no windows. Instead the company has announced that it plans to use super-thin embedded displays, rather than the traditional cabin windows, giving passengers a panoramic view of the external environment.

S-512 supersonic jet

The private jet will feature an array of external cameras that will show the outside view, however passengers will be able to choose whether they look at static images, pre-recorded footage or the current view.
The reason for abandoning the traditional window is to reduce weight, as normally windows need extra structural support. Spike Aerospace have designed the S-512 to reach speeds of 1,370 mph so weight is a key issue.
Designed by a team made up of former Airbus, Boeing and Gulfstream engineers, this luxury jet with a price tag of $80 million boasts a flight time of three hours for a trip from New York to London. It is scheduled to start the manufacturing process in 2018 but for now the company is re-tooling the design before it spends two years producing prototypes and testing.

:Nokia X A110 Normandy - Nokia's first android phone:

Nokia X A110 Normandy - Nokia's first android phone.

After the Microsoft take over, Things are getting hotter. Presenting the Nokia X A110, Finnish giant's very 1st Android smartphone. External design and looks are pretty much similar to the already applauded Lumia family, with poly-carbonated shells in bright colours but Nokia's X A110 has got 4.4.2 KitKat inside, the latest of Android OS rather than Windows Mobile. Nokia Normany AKA X A110's full specs are still a mystery but leaks confirms a solid build, packing a 1GHz Dual-Core processor under the hood. Bundled with an impressive 4 inches TFT Capacitive display, X A110 by Nokia supports a WVGA resolution of of just 480 x 854 pixels. Other features include a 5 megapixel Camera, 512MB of RAM and an extendable memory card slot, supporting microSD cards up to 32 GB. if you are thinking that Nokia X A110's specs are strikingly reminiscent of Nokia Lumia 520? You might be right but in contrast, Nokia A110 is a Dual-SIM and runs on the latest Android OS. Having a 1500mAh battery, 3G network support is not yet confirmed but it's for sure that the Android experience on X A110 will not be the same as you are used to experience on other brands. Considering a tweaked android OS providing a windows similar look and feel, Nokia will incorporate it's own App store instead of Google Play. The same goes for the Maps as Nokia X A110 will be featuring it's own Nokia Maps instead of Google.

::WhatsApp Goes Down Indefinitely, Social Media Explodes::

I was in the middle of a conversation on WhatsApp just an hour back when I realised that the messages had stopped going through. While I was led into believing that my internet connection was probably messed up, I went on to Twitter. Only to find #R.I.P WhatsApp trending worldwide, which proves it that WhatsApp indeed is down indefinitely as of right now.

The social media has exploded over the situation as we speak. Everyone has an opinion of their own, rather conclusions, towards this situation. A majority seems to be believing that Facebook intends to meddle with WhatsApp’s operations and quite possibly harm them, or according to the masses, shut them down. Let’s show you some of the more interesting, and outrageous Tweets and posts over Twitter and Facebook.

:Facebook buying messaging app WhatsApp for $19B:

Facebook buying messaging app WhatsApp for $19B

The world's biggest social networking company said Wednesday that it is paying $12 billion in Facebook stock and $4 billion in cash for WhatsApp. In addition, the app's founders and employees — 55 in all — will be granted restricted stock worth $3 billion that will vest over four years after the deal closes.
The deal translates to roughly nine per cent of Facebook's market value. In comparison, Google's biggest deal, Motorola Mobility, stood at $12.5 billion, while Microsoft's largest was Skype at $8.5 billion. Apple, meanwhile, has never done a deal above $1 billion.
The price stunned Gartner analyst Brian Blau. ''I am not surprised they went after WhatsApp, but the amount is staggering,'' he said.
Facebook likely prizes WhatsApp for its audience of teenagers and young adults who are increasingly using the service to engage in online conversations outside of Facebook, which has evolved into a more mainstream hangout inhabited by their parents, grandparents and even their bosses at work.
''This is a bet on the future for Facebook,'' Blau said. ''They know they have to expand their business lines. WhatsApp is in the business of collecting people's conversations, so Facebook is going to get some great data.''
In that sense, the acquisition makes sense for 10-year-old Facebook as it looks to attract its next billion users while keeping its existing 1.23 billion members, including teenagers, interested. The company has said it will develop a ''multi-app'' strategy, creating its own applications that exist outside of Facebook and acquiring others.
''Facebook seems to be in acknowledgement that people are using a lot of different apps to communicate,'' said eMarketer analyst Debra Aho Williamson. ''In order to continue to reach audiences, younger in particular, it needs to have a broader strategy...not put all its eggs in one basket.''

Microsoft’s OneDrive goes online, offers 100GB of free storage

Microsoft’s rebranding of SkyDrive has gone into effect worldwide, along with new features and extra storage options for both existing and new users.
OneDrive Microsoft skydrive Microsofts OneDrive goes online, offers 100GB of free storage to celebrate

The Redmond giant announced OneDrive as the new title for its cloud storage service last month and has now made it the default for users worldwide.
The rebranding will go into effect across Microsoft’s Windows 8, Windows Vista and Mac apps today, and also on the mobile and Xbox versions. Existing and new users will be able to access OneDrive at its redesigned website, and will also be able to gather an additional 5GB of storage by referring up to ten friends that sign up for the service, for a total of 12GB of free storage.
Additionally, Microsoft is launching monthly plans for those that want extra storage and more flexibility over how they use that storage. If that wasn’t enough, 100,000 people selected randomly will be given 100 GB of free storage that’s valid for one year, which is considerably more than the temporary storage boosts offered by competing services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Box (though a full year less in duration.)
For Android users, the company has upgraded its official client to include a camera backup feature for automatically backing up both photos and videos, which was recently introduced in the iOS version of the app. Enabling the camera backup option will grant users an additional 3GB of storage, which will be permanent even if one turns off the auto upload feature after enabling it, and is applicable to the iOS and Windows Phone apps as well.
